The Apostle John was summoned before the throne of God. There, Jesus, the twenty four elders, and the angels began to reveal to him the events of the coming great tribulation.
The horror of it, and Jesus victory over evil.
The twenty four elders praises Jesus by saying—Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Rev 4:11 KJV)
As the Apostle John stood before the throne of God, it is revealed to him the history of mankind and the Lamb of God involvement throughout it. Now the seven seals are to be open, revealing the persecution of believers and coming judgement of the unbeliever. The seven seals reveal the defeat of Satin and evil.
Voice and Illustrations of Revelation 8:1-6
A powerful angel came down from heaven as a pillar of fire—as the seraphims that are before the throne of God are. He asked the Apostle John to eat the little book he brought with him. It tasted sweet in John's mouth but bitter in his stomach. Then the angel told the Apostle John that he would prophesy again before many people, nations, tongues and kings. How sweet it is to bring salvation to those who receive it and bitter it will be to be despised and persecuted because of it.
Revelation Seven Seals Dramatizations
This is a dramatization of the book of Revelation four horsemen of the apocalypse. Similar events like this has happened throughout time, but none would be like that which is written in the book of Revelation seven seals. The destruction of mankind will be at hand, God will shorten the days to prevent this from happening. The four horsemen represents the evil that mankind will impose on each other when the Holy Spirit for a season no longer hold back evil—evil will become unbridle.
"For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (2Th 2:7-8 KJV)"
The six seal is opened after the fifth seal. The fith seal reveals the martyred saints under the alter crying out to God to avenge the martyred. They were commanded to hold on until the martyr of the saints is complete. In the six seal we see the judgment of a blasphemous world. Though it may be catastrophic, it is not the end of mankind.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Mat 24:27-31 KJV) .
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Rev 6:13-14 KJV)
and the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Rev 6:15-17 KJV)
In the fifth seal the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and their testimony cried out wondering how long would it be before they are avenged. God tells them until their fellow brethren and servants be killed as they were. In the sixth seal the martyr of the saints will be complete and God then will begin to pour out his wrath upon the ungodly. They had made a decision to reject God and the time for their repentance was over. The Sixth seal is the beginning of God's wrath upon the ungodly. Signs in the heavens and earth begins to reveal Jesus coming, and at this point the world understands the meaning of these signs. There was nowhere to escape from Him that siteth on the throne and the lamb of God. Mankind time has runout. As it is written “who shall be able to stand.”
God is faithful to his promise
Even during the great tribulation, God is faithful to His promise, those who call on his name shall be saved. They will give their lives for Jesus and therfore will be before the throne of God in His temple, serving Him day and night and He will be among them.
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; (Deu 7:9 KJV)
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:11-13 KJV)
